Stretch-n-Grow International (founded in 1992), is the world's largest network of certified youth fitness professionals! We specialize in providing movement based enrichment programs in schools that get kids' bodies AND minds moving with high quality, educational, fun, and creative exercise experiences!
Stretch-n-Grow of Lake Norman was established in 2013.
In 2020, Kori Sullivan of Huntersville, a former collegiate athlete, preschool teacher, and mom of 2 young kids, bought Stretch-n-Grow of Lake Norman. Kori, a Connecticut native, moved to Charlotte in 2004 for a job at WSOC-TV. She then spent thirteen years as an Editor of 10 local publications, working from home to be with her two young children. When her youngest went to Kindergarten, she saw her friend and then owner of SNG Lake Norman Lisa Kiral post about needing preschool fitness coaches part time.
"With my kids in school full time, I wanted to branch out and try something different! And having the flexibility to be able to still be there for my kids was amazing," says Kori
Kori grew up in a preschool setting as her mom ran a NAYEC accredited preschool. Her summers throughout high school and college consisted of working with her mom at Work and Play School, so teaching preschoolers was second nature. She also loved coaching youth sports, from middle school cheerleading in college to her own kids in T-ball and soccer, she had a ton of experience to pull from when starting as coach!
"With our own kids, my husband and I love to exercise and get outside. Whether it's going to Burn Bootcamp Lake Norman, hiking, biking, swimming, soccer or walking our 2 rescue dogs, being active is an integral part of our family lifestyle, " Kori says.
When the opportunity came to buy the area, Kori knew it was the perfect fit. With her managerial and sales skills as well as her innate teaching abilities and the stellar, EXCERciting curriculum, becoming owner was an easy decision.
"I love that SNG brings a play-based, fun mentality to overall healthy living. SNG gives them tools to strength their bodies and their minds. I'm excited to help the next generation of healthy kiddos!" shares Kori.

Our school partners have an amazing educational curriculum, but they know the benefits of out-sourcing their enrichment classes to Stretch-n-Grow. You want programs that line up with state and national standards and deliver the outcomes that parents expect and kids need. No matter what class experience our coaches are delivering, we aim to get kids moving – and that helps with focus, self-control, improved academic performance and better health!
